Here is a wonderful mini-interview with Jennifer Parks AKA L’Daim Fille…
Troy: Hi Jenn! What sorts of things do you look to for inspiration?
Jennifer: I look to my dreams, nightmares, and emotions for inspiration. I also find it in the comics and sci-fi novels I read. As well as old Victorian photographs and patterns.
Stephano: please tell us of an artist we may have never heard of.
Jennifer: One of my close friends is an awesome artist. www.zacksoto.comTheo Ellsworth is another. www.artcapacity.comTroy: what is the most unexplainable/magical/mysterious thing you ever saw as a child?
Jennifer: As a child I used to wake up from horrible nightmares to see a white glowing lady figure with flowy hair standing in my doorway. Her presence was calm and unthreatening but I would still be scared out of my mind. I would hide under my blanket paralysed with fear until I’d fall back asleep. Troy: If you could go to the bottom of the ocean or deep into space, which would you prefer, and why?
Jennifer: If I had a choice to go to the bottom of the ocean or into outerspace, I’d have to choose outerspace. The thought of being at the bottom of the dark ocean surrounded by creatures that you cannot see and that are probably 20 times larger than Me, freaks me out. Plus I’ve been obsessed lately with the idea they we are not alone, that there is and has to be other life out there.
Troy: I think you are correct in your assumptions! Thanks Jennifer!
